Are you ready to start a blog and earn income right from home? Here is my quick start guide to get you all set up.
Did I Earn more than the previous month?
Yes! I earned more money than I did on my previous income report. In fact, I almost doubled my income.
As you may have noticed, I was unable to get a post up with my income from May of 2017 and that was partly because I have been so busy with moving, kids, and working my full-time outside of the house career. But nonetheless, I wanted to make sure to share this month’s income report since it is the most I have made on my blog so far.
Another difference between my income reports is the lack of Affiliate income that I earned this month. Now don’t worry, I am still using my affiliate links and trying to promote them but my time has been cut in half or less since accepting my full-time position.
However, I have been blessed to be offered more sponsored opportunities in which I am paid an agreed amount upon completion of a task such as writing a blog post after reviewing a product. What’s great about sponsored posts is the fact that you generally get paid a lump sum of money for writing one blog post and sharing on social media.
But anyways, all in all, I hope you enjoy learning about how I was able to earn over $350 last month from my small mom blog.
(THIS POST MAY CONTAIN AFFILIATE LINKS HOWEVER, I WILL NEVER RECOMMEND ANYTHING THAT I DO NOT BELIEVE IN OR USE MYSELF. YOU CAN READ MORE ABOUT MY DISCLOSURE POLICY HERE)
BLOGGING INCOME – JUNE 2017
Okay, here is a breakdown of how I managed to earn money in my eighth month of blogging. Although like I said earlier, most of the money I made last month came from sponsored posts, you can truly earn an income through blogging in many different ways.
Affiliate Income – $0
Freelancing – $0
Sponsored Posts –
Influence Central – $300.00
Other Sponsored Posts – $0
Display Advertising – $59.35
Total Income = $359.35
EXPENSES:
MailChimp – $0
This month I had only one blog expense and that was from BoardBooster.
Total Expenses = $20
So after a small expense from BoardBooster, my net pay came to $339.35. Not too bad!!!

Finally, I hope that by sharing my blog income reports, you realize that you truly can make some money (however little it may be) by writing a parenting blog. Or any type of blog for that matter.
And although I still am not making a full-time income through my blog, I am able to add some extra money to our income to help support our family. And the best part is that I love what I am doing. Through blogging, I am able to share with others all of my tips and tricks for green parenting and so much more.
I also love how I have been able to connect with so many wonderful people in the blogging community. Without many of them, my blog would not be where it is today.

Great blog! And you’re right, any income is awesome! Just look at Michelle at Making Sense of Cents. She started at $100 a month and look at her now! I am a new mom so I really appreciate other moms like you helping me out with tips and resources via your blogs. thanks and good luck!
Thanks so much Ryan,
And congrats on your new little baby. I am so happy this is helping you. Michelle’s course was an amazing tool and I still refer back to it from time to time.
We’ve been running a blog for almost a year now and haven’t really seen much results income wise. We really wanted to focus more on getting views and that sort of thing which I think we’re finally starting to get the hang of. But this post is super helpful, just to see what you’re doing to make an income. Thanks for sharing!
