CAN YOU REALLY MAKE MONEY THROUGH A BLOG?
When I first started my blog, the thought of having the option to possibly earn an income through it really intrigued me. In fact, I dare to say that it was one of the reasons I finally decided to commit to starting it.
After just over 6 months of blogging, I have finally felt comfortable enough to share with you how I am making money doing what I love.
In the beginning of my blogging journey, I came across numerous other female bloggers who were making a full-time income through blogging that allowed them to quit their careers outside of their home.

For example, Michelle from Making Sense of Cents started her personal finance and lifestyle blog back in August of 2011 as a way to help pay off her student loans after graduating college. As of April 2017, she now earns over $130,000 a month from her blog and eCourses that she has created. Her popular eCourse Making Sense of Affiliate Marketing teaches other bloggers all of Michelle’s tricks for earning an affiliate income through blogging just like she does.
Although not all bloggers earn as much as Michelle does every month, there are many bloggers who make a full-time income from their blogs.
My friend Victoria, from A Modern Homestead, has finally started to earn an income from her blog. And she now successfully makes over $4,500 per month through blogging and selling eBooks. Her ebook, Make Money Blogging at any Level, also has a guide to making money through blogging from 1,000 page views and up.

Okay, now that you have seen some examples of what you can earn from blogging, here is a breakdown of how I managed to earn money in my sixth-month blogging. Other Sponsored Posts – $80.00
Display Advertising – $14.67
Total Income = $200.55

YOU CALL THAT AN INCOME???
Of course, $200 is not enough money to pay for all of my family’s living expenses, but it’s a great start. As a stay at home mom of two who was not making a single penny to a blogging mama making just over $200 after six months of hard work, I am very satisfied.
I also plan to do regular monthly income reports to keep track of all of the ways I am making money through my new mommy blog. By simply sharing all of the amazing things that I love about natural parenting I am able to help supplement my family’s income.
Conclusion
Finally, I hope that by sharing my blog income reports, you realize that you truly can make some money (however little it may be) by writing a parenting blog. Or any type of blog for that matter.
In this post, I have shared with you two different bloggers who make an income from blogging. And I have also shared with you how I was able to make money with my blog after only blogging for 6 months.

Nice! Good job! It makes things seem achievable.
Thank you, Tricia,
These things truly are achievable. They do take time and a ton of work but it is so worth it in the end.
Great post! I love reading about this topic and I love seeing the success of others, it’s very motivating!

This is great news! It’s hard trying to make money out of something you love. How did you go about getting sponsored?
Hi Sam,
I was able to get sponsored on a few sites such as Thomoson, She Speaks, and Bloglivin.
I’m so happy for you! Your posts have given me even more inspiration and willpower to start my own blog! I hope you keep having success with your blogging experience!
Thank you Jessie,
I hope you are successful as well.
Congratulations on your success! That’s fantastic news. Let’s hope you can replicate and see even more income! I’m also in Michelle’s course and I’m bursting to try and implement everything I’ve learnt all at once. If only there were more hours in a day 🙂
I know Claire, I could not stop reading everything in her course.
